IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS


WARNING:
precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
a ) Read all the instructions before using
the light.
b ) To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is
necessary when a light is used near children.
c ) To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put
light in water or other liquid. Do not place or store
light where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
d ) Only use attachments recommended or sold by
the manufacturer.
e ) Turn the light off when not in use.
f ) Do not operate any light after it malfunctions
or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
Return light to the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair, or electrical or
mechanical  adjustment.
g ) To disconnect, turn all controls to the OFF
position, then remove plug from outlet.
h ) Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp
the plug, not the cord.
i ) Unplug from outlet when not in use and before
servicing or cleaning.
j ) Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug, or after the light has received
a sharp blow, malfunctions or is dropped or
damaged in any manner. Return light to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair, or
electrical or mechanical adjustment.
k ) Use only the charger supplied by the
manufacturer to recharge..
l ) This appliance is provided with double
insulation. Use only identical replacement
parts. See instructions for servicing of
Double- insulated Appliances.

Specific Safety Rules for Lights

WARNING: Do not place the light in a position
which may cause anyone to intentionally or
unintentionally stare into the light. Serious eye
injury could result.

WARNING: Fire hazard. Do not operate light or
charger near flammable liquids or in gaseous or
explosive atmospheres. Internal sparks may ignite
fumes causing personal injury.

Additional Safety Rules for Area Lights

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, do not place
anything on top of the lens during or after operation
of the light.

CAUTION: Only use area light on stable surface. Do
not raise above work space/personnel via lifting,
hoisting, mounting, or suspension.
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put area
light in water or other liquid. Do not place or store area
light where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
Risk of electric shock. Do not expose to rain.
Store indoors.
Do not submerge area light in any liquid.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
Before using battery and area light, read all
instructions and cautionary markings on area light,
charger and battery pack.
Store the area light indoors when not in use. Keep out
of reach of children.
Make sure extension cord is located so that it will not
be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected
to damage or stress.
Use only a proper extension cord that is necessary to
operate the area light on AC power (refer to Use of
Extension Cords with Area light). Use of an improper
extension cord could result in risk of fire, electric shock,
or electrocution.
A proper extension cord will be marked with the
suffix letter "W" and with a tag stating "Suitable for
Use with Outdoor Appliances."
Place the area light away from any heat source.
Do not disassemble area light. Take it to an authorized
service center when service or repair is required. Incorrect
reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock,
electrocution or fire.
Disconnect the area light from the outlet before
attempting any cleaning. This will reduce the risk of
electric shock. Removing the battery pack will not reduce
this risk.
The area light is designed to operate on 120 Volts,
60 Hz AC or on direct current (DC) through fully
charged 20V Max* lithium-ion battery packs. Do not
use any other voltage.
Use type SJW, SJOW, SJTW, SJTOW, SW, SOW, STW
and STOW cord when operating the Area light on
AC power.
Secure the area light in upright position
while transporting.
