- Page 2 CIB 3130 502B Headset Adapter The 502B headset adapter allows you to use a headset with a 10-, 22-, and 34-button voice terminal with your System 25 or MERLIN® II Com- munications System. This headset adapter (Figure 1) comes with a D8AC modular cord and may be used to connect a headset with a 2- prong plug or a modular plug.
- Page 3 Installing the Headset Adapter Use the following instructions to install the headset adapter: Place the headset adapter near the voice terminal to which it will be connected. If your headset has a 2-prong plug, insert it into the headset jack on the front of the adapter (Figure 2).

Plug the other end of this modular cord into the jack labeled OTHER on the bottom of the voice terminal (Figure 4).

Automatic Features Do This: Activate auto-answer Press the programmed Auto-Answer button on feature your voice terminal. The green light next to the button goes on. Answer a call When you hear a beep and the Headset indica- tor goes on, begin speaking. Disconnect a call Calls automatically disconnect when the caller (far-end) hangs up.
