d) Displaying Data of a Charger

The multi-monitor has a serial interface (figure 1, item 6) for
connection to chargers that also have such an interface. Choosing
this connection version, you can comfortably and well-structured
view the charger's data on the multi-monitor.
Some values are displayed numerically, and the display also
shows the voltage and current curves and charging state in a
graphical display.
The serial interface is not standardised. The multi-monitor
can be connected to the "Voltcraft B6" and "Voltcraft Quadro
B6" chargers.
Many chargers and systems are available on the market. There-
fore, we cannot make any concrete statement on which chargers
the multi-monitor will also work with.
However, since there are many chargers of similar or same build,
it will usually work.
Connect the interface cable (figure 1, item 9) to the interface
socket of the multi-monitor (figure 1, item 6).
Connect the multi-monitor with the serial output of your charger
with the interface cable.
When the charger provides data (usually this will not happen
before charging or discharging starts), the transmitted data will be
displayed on the activated multi-monitor after a few seconds. Data
transmission is indicated by a flashing dot above the battery
symbol of the initial screen ("Voltage").
