MAINTENANCE

The only maintenance required by the P-1000 is the possible replacement of the internal electroluminescent lamp, and an occasional
cleaning.
Lamp replacement must be done by the manufacturer or a designated repair facility. Life expectancy of the lamp is greater than 10,000
hours.
The P-1000 should be kept clean of dirt, oil, and grease, by using a mild soap and water mixture with a soft non-abrasive cloth to
maintain its appearance. Do not use harsh soaps or cleaning solvents as they can damage the case and its appearance. The P-1000 is
not a sealed instrument; however the internal electronics have a protective coating. Avoid using excessive amount of spray cleaner or
liquids that will penetrate into the interior of the tachometer.

TROUBLE-SHOOTING

The following is a brief chart of some of the different ways the P-1000 will behave under certain circumstances. It is assumed that the
P-1000 is properly installed.
