3. MAINTENANCE

Before any maintenance, repair or service work, always lower the
cultivator to the ground, stop the tractor engine, if necessary, remove the
key from the ignition and pull up the parking brake.
After the first hours of work and on a regular basis thereafter, check to make
sure the hoes are fixed tightly to their mounting brackets to prevent the screw
from shearing if they have become loose.
If the hoes are bent during work, cold straighten them so as not to alter the
hardening treatment given to the cutting surfaces.

3.1 CHANGING THE OIL IN GEARBOX

Make the first oil change after about 200 work hours and thereafter every 500
hours.
To change the oil, remove plugs n.6-7 fig.1 and allow the oil to drain out.
Fill with
AGIP ROTRA MP SAE 80W/90. Amount needed is about 1.1 Kg until the oil
reaches hole n.6. Replace plug n.6.
Every 50-60 hours check the oil level through plug n.6 fig.1, with the cultivator
horizontal the oil should just reach the bottom of the hole.

3.2 CHANGING THE OIL IN THE SIDE CASING

Change the oil for the first time after about 200 work hours and every 500 hours
thereafter.
To change the oil remove plugs n.1 and 2 fig.3 and let the oil drain out by tipping
the cultivator as needed.
Add oil:
AGIP ROTRA MP SAE 85W/140. Amount needed is about 1.5 Kg or when the
oil reaches the bottom of hole n.1.
Every 50-60 hours check the moil level through plug n.1 fig.3. When the
cultivator is horizontal the oil should reach the bottom of the hole.

3.3 GREASING

Every 8-10 work hours grease the drive line.
Grease point n.5 fig.1 of the rotor.
