MAKING SANDWICHES

wiches (7). To do this match the ledges on
the frying plates (7) with the grooves on the
upper or lower lid, press on the frying plate
(7) until the clamp (6) clicking. Fix the sec-

Put a slice of bread on the lower frying plate
(7), put the filling on it, cover with the second
slice of bread and carefully close the unit.
Press the handles (3) together and close the
clip (4).
Insert the plug into the mains socket, the
indicators (1, 2) will light up.
Once the preset temperature is reached the
heating element on/off indicator (2) will go
out.
Attention! During the operation the frying plates
and the unit body heat up strongly; do not touch
hot surfaces to avoid burns. Do not touch the
unit body with bare hands. Put on thermal pro-
tective potholders.
Cook sandwiches for 2-4 minutes. Depending
on your taste, you can continue cooking until
the indicator (2) goes out again or wait for
some time.
Beware of steam output from gaps between
the lids, keep your hands and open parts
of your body away from the edges of lids to
avoid burns.
After the sandwiches are ready, take the
power plug out of the socket and open the
unit lid. Take out the ready sandwiches with
the help of a wooden spatula. Do not use
sharp metal objects in order not to damage
the non-stick coating.
Keep the unit closed if you are not using it.
TIPS
For the best results use medium slices of
bread. Cooking time depends on the thick-
ness of slices and sort of bread.
You can use wheat flour bread as well as rye
flour bread.
Cut the bread into slices of required size.
Use vegetable oil or ordinary margarine to
smear the slices, as other fats burn fast.
Do not put too much filling otherwise it
leaks.
Do not use filling from vegetables that wilt
under high temperature (lettuce, cucumber).
You can have good results using tomatoes
and onions.
