• Have read and understood the safety guidelines given in this manual.
Installation and commissioning must only be carried out by competent,
qualified personnel. This is particularly important for electrical connections.
CAUTION!
Electrostatic discharge can damage components on the unit. Before
working in the area of the interfaces and memory cards, ensure against
discharge by touching an earthed, conductive surface or by wearing an
earthed armband, for example.
Warranty and liability
All claims to warranty and liability will be rendered invalid if:
• The system was used contrary to the purpose for which it is intended
• Damage can be attributed to not having followed the guidelines in the
documentation
• Unauthorised modifications were carried out
• The unit was used outside the technical specifications
• The unit was opened or unauthorised repairs were carried out
• Operating personnel are not suitably trained or sufficiently qualified.
INFORMATION
The function of the PMI was tested in continuous operation prior to delivery.
Should an error still occur, please enclose a description of the error when
returning the unit.

Unit-specific safety regulations

Before you install or commission the system, you should refer to any
guidelines laid down by the controller's manufacturer or operator. In
particular, always comply with the ATEX regulations.
