Installation of Linux
As we all know, an appropriate development environment is required for software
development. The CD-ROM attached with product has contained a development
environment which needs to be installed under Linux system. If you are working on a PC
running Windows, you have to create a Linux system first, and then you can install the
environment. Here we recommend using VirtualBox – a virtual machine software to
accommodate Ubuntu Linux system under Windows. The following sections will
introduce the installation processes of VirtualBox and Ubuntu system.
Installing VirtualBox
You can access
http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
to download the latest version
of VirtualBox. VirtualBox requires 512MB memory space at least. A PC with memory
space of more than 1GB would be preferred.
