In case of malfunction disconnect all power supplies, discontinue use, notify supplier. Area under fixture must always be cordoned off and kept clear of all personnel. If using a power trolley with this fixture, please refer to “LRX Power Trolley” manual. THERE ARE NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS.

Removal of shipping case cover requires two people. Always use lifting points to avoid potential pinch points. Rotate case lid forward, then lift. Undo the internal transport ratchet strap – located at the base of the Vulture. If there are any concerns regarding handling, please contact your supervisor.

Uninstalling the fixture and placing into the shipping case: Remove accessories from Vulture and place them in their storage location. Use the homing feature to park the Vulture; or use hand controller to rotate the output arms to vertical and then rotate the hanger assembly parallel to base.

LRX VULTURE If LRX truss is to be installed, ensure that load is centered and evenly applied to basket. Maximum capacity for LRX truss is 500 pounds evenly distributed. Never use damaged or compromised trusses or equipment. Follow all lift manufactures guidelines for load/wind capacities and de-rating as required.

The hand controller will allow fixture selection, (up to 32 fixtures), provide control of tilt, pan, and flood/spot functions. All switches act as momentary type. For example if the unit was left on when the battery shut off – or AC was lost, it will power up again when AC is restored. If the Vulture shuts off (battery), it may be turned back on until the battery is exhausted. This would be several hours of intermitant use.
Start UP – Press the “ON/OFF” key once. The system will check the encoders and prepare the unit for operation. The user does not have to press “OK or START” as the Vulture will pause for a short time, then continue running if no key is pressed.

To operate correctly, the last device in the DMX line should have a termination resistor. The Vulture has this option built in. Select “SET TERMINATION” if the unit is the last in the chain. If there are only a few units on a single DMX line, all terminations may be set.

DMX PROFILES FADER MODE This mode allows for old school control of the VULTURE. When the console DMX control is set to the 50% mark, no motion occurs. If the slider is moved to less than 40%, but greater than 20%, motion occurs in one direction – conversely, if the slider is moved to greater than 60%, but less than 80%, motion occurs in the opposite direction.
PAN axis to 30 Degrees WEST (looking from the rear), DMX=100% will move the PAN axis to 300 Degrees (EAST). DMX= 50% will position the VULTURE at 180 Degrees (NORTH – facing away). TILT (DMX[n+3]) works in a similar way, moving from DMX Value =1% (-30 DEGREES) to DMX=100% (170 DEGREES –...

Once data input is absent, the unit will show “ready to park”. Press PARK, or CANCEL to exit. The VULTURE will display a 5 second countdown and a warning that the unit will begin to move automatically to the stowed position.

Check hanger display for proper addressing and mode. It is important to note that the LRX fixture will not begin responding to a newly selected FIXTURE/DMX address until it has been stored. Ensure the address at the fixture matches the address on the hand controller.
