If this freezer is to replace an appliance with mechanical locking, you must take out the locking system or take off the door. This will pre-
vent children from locking themselves inside and thus be in danger of death.
If your appliance must be destroyed, call on your retailer or a specialist. Some components can be dangerous for health and the environ-
ment.
WARNING! Some furniture is key locked. Do not let your children play nearby. Keep the keys out of the reach of children to prevent them
from accidentally locking themselves inside.
For the same reason, do not forget to remove the lock when discarding the appliance.

• Install your appliance far from any source of heat, radiators,
stoves, direct sunlight...
• In all cases, leave sufficient space around the appliance (10 cen-
timeters are necessary). The floor must be flat and dry.
• You will need a 10-16 amp mains outlet connected to earth.
Check that the voltage shown on the identification plate of the
appliance indeed corresponds to the voltage of the electrical ins-
tallation of the dwelling.
The earthing of the appliance is required by law. We may not
be held responsible for incidents caused by a failure to res-
pect this requirement.

BEFORE START-UP:

With the appliance suitably installed, we recommend the following:
• Clean the inside with, for example, a sponge soaked in water and
vinegar or odorless soapy water.
• Before connecting to the mains, leave your appliance off for 2
hours so that the coolant can stabilize.
• See that the lever is on "0" (stop)
• Connect to the mains supply: the green signal lamp (power on)
and red signal lamp (alarm) light up. Set the thermostat to the
middle position.
Let the appliance run for about 4 hours. The alarm signal lamp
goes out.
ON APPLIANCES EQUIPPED WITH A SOUND ALARM
On start-up, it is normal that the alarm should sound (ringing as
soon as the red signal lamp lights up). The ringing can be stop-
ped by pressing on the "Super" button.
When in operation, should there be an abnormal rise in tempera-
ture inside of your freezer during preservation, the alarm signal
lamp lights up and the sound alarm goes off.
This appliance conforms with the European low voltage Directive
EEC 73/29 relative to electrical safety, and to European Directives
EEC 89/336 relative to electromagnetic compatibility and EEC

PRESERVATION (-18°C)
When the SUPER FREEZING button is not activated, your applian-
ce operates to preserve food. You should only put inside foods
which are already frozen and packaged.
The lengths of preservation essentially depend on their nature.
FREEZING
At least 24 hours before putting in foods to be frozen, activate the
SUPER FREEZING button of your appliance.
Then put in your fresh foods and maintain this operating condition
for about 24 hours.
Then you can:
-
either carry out another freezing operation,
-
or return your appliance to the preservation setting.
The freezing power is defined by the maximum quantity of products
that the appliance can freeze in 24 hours, from ambient temperatu-
re down to -18°C. This quantity is shown on the identification plate
located to the rear of the appliance.
It is best to put your products to be frozen in contact with the bot-
tom and walls. Foods will thus be more rapidly frozen.
Do not put fresh products in contact with those already frozen.
It will be necessary to reduce the quantity to be frozen when you
plan on freezing day after day.
Note: When putting in foods, the "signal alarm" can be turned on for
a few moments. This does not mean that there is any danger to your
appliance or your products.

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS

Only freeze fresh foods which have been cleaned and wrapped in
suitable packagings.
Label each package with the date of freezing, the weight, or the
number of pieces, and the nature of the product.
Do not put bottles or cans of gaseous beverages in your freezer, as
they could explode.
Some products, such as ice cream, should not be eaten too cold.
Never refreeze a thawed product. It must be eaten right away.
- Do not open the lid of the freezer too often to prevent the tem-
perature inside the compartment from rising.
- Do not go beyond the preservation deadline recommended on
packages of deep frozen products.
