Be completely familiar with the proper use of this machine before operating it. - Page 5 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Slope Operation Slopes are a major factor related to slip and fall accidents,which can result in severe injury.Operation on slopes requires extra caution.If you feel uneasy on a slope,do not mow it.If the slope is greater that 15 degrees,do not mow it.

Intended Use The HAUSSMANN manual reel mower is intended for cutting grass. Check Package Contents Carefully remove the power tool from its packaging and check that the following parts are present: -- Mower body -- Upper handle(Fig.2) - Page 7 (Fig. 2 ). (Fig. 3 ). (Fig.6) Secure the handle assembled in step 2 to the lower handle assembled in step 3 with four carriage knobs and four carriage bolts (Fig.7). (Fig.7) Tighten all the knobs on the joints of the handle assembly.
- Page 10 ASSEMBLY Position the complete handle assembly over the studs on the mower frame (Fig.8). (Fig.8) Attaching Grass Catcher(Fig.9) Clip the bag onto the frame. Place the completed rear bag and hook onto the roller bar end shaft. Place locking strap from the rear bag to the center bars of the middle handle, adjust strap for proper height so the bag does not rub the ground while mowing or transporting.

OPERATION WARNING!The operation of any lawn mower can result in foreign objects being thrown into the eyes,which can cause severe eye injury.Always wear safety glasses while operating the mower,or while performing any adjustments or repairs on it. WARNING!If you strike a foreign object,stop the mower immediately and inspect it thoroughly for any damage.Repair any damage before operating mower again. - Page 12 OPERATION Other cutting heights are achieved by moving the adjustment knobs to any stop between the highest and lowest positons. OPERATION Using Grass Catcher You can use the grass catcher to collect clippings while you are operating the mower. Attach grass catcher following instructions in the Assembly section. Grass clippings will automatically collect in catcher as you operate the mower.The faster you push the mower,the more effectively it will collect clippings.Operate the mower until grass catcher is full. - Page 14 MAINTENANCE Cleaning and Storage Clean the exterior of the machine thoroughly using a soft brush and cloth before storing. Do not use water, solvents or polishes. Turn the mower on its side to clean the blade area. WARNING!Do not place hands in the mower near blades. If grass cuttings are compacted in the blade area, remove using a wood or plastic cleaning tool appropriate for the cleaning of the blades.

- Page 30 ENTRETIEN Nettoyage et entreposage Nettoyez à fond l’extérieur de la machine avec une brosse douce et un chiffon avant de la ranger. N’utilisez pas d’eau, de solvant, ou de pâte à polir. Basculez la tondeuse sur le côté pour nettoyer le secteur des lames. ATTENTION! Ne pas mettre les mains près des lames dans la tondeuse.
