The atomisation chamber is made of consumable material and thus its useful life is dependent upon
several factors: use time, if used with more/less oily drugs, if maintenance and cleaning are performed
properly and after each use.
The atomisation chamber can be used 500 times or for a standard therapy use period of 1 year.
Use with mains transformer (not provided but sold separately, Laica part number ANE033):
Before each use, thoroughly clean and disinfect the atomisation chamber, lid, connection,
mouthpiece and masks according to the paragraph "Cleaning and Maintenance".
Connect the transformer to the unit (mains outlet) and then the power outlet, making sure the voltage
is correct.
Unwrap the entire length of the cord, making sure no once can trip over the cord.
Attention: Only use the transformer provided by Laica, other transformers could damage the unit.
Make sure the power outlet does not come in contact with liquids.
If an extension cord or adapter is needed, make sure they are compliant with current safety regulations.
The electrical capacity and maximum capacity specified on the adapter must not be exceeded. Proceed
as described in points 3-9 in the paragraph "Using with batteries".
At the end of the treatment, turn the device off before unplugging the transformer from the mains.
The transformer cannot be used to recharge batteries.
MICROBIAL CONTAMINATION
For illnesses where there is a risk of infection and microbial contamination, we recommend personal
use of the accessories (atomisation chamber, mouthpiece, mask connection and masks). Always
consult the physician.
CLEANING
1) Attention! Hot surfaces! Before cleaning the unit, allow it to cool as the transducer
and residual inhalation preparations become hot during use.
Always clean the unit after each use so that the residual medicine does not solidify and ruin the
mechanism.
2) Before cleaning operations remove the batteries or, if using with mains power, unplug.
3) After each use, lift the lid on the atomisation chamber to empty any residues from the chamber
itself. Clean the atomisation chamber and the atomisation dispenser as follows:
• Pour tap water into the chamber, turn on the unit and atomise the water.
• When the water is completely atomised, remove the atomisation chamber from the unit by
pressing the attachment located on the bottom of the chamber itself (see fig.5).
• Pour 10 ml of ethyl alcohol in the atomisation chamber, allow it to set for 10 minutes, then
gently shake the atomisation chamber. Remove the ethyl alcohol.
• Set the atomisation chamber on a flat surface, as indicated in figure 6, and pour 1-2 ml of ethyl
alcohol in the atomisation dispenser.
Allow the alcohol to set for 10 minutes and then remove.
• Place the atomisation chamber under running water and then let it air dry completely.
Attention! Never use a cloth or any other object to clean the atomisation chamber.
Clean the electrical contacts on the base of the aerosol (upper side) and the atomisation chamber
(lowerside) with a cotton swab soaked in ethyl alcohol.
Before hooking the atomisation chamber on the main unit, make sure it is perfectly dry. To hook

it back on the appliance, position it on the main unit and lightly press down until you hear a click.
4) Clean the outside of the unit with a soft cloth damped with water and neutral soap (do not clean
the main unit by placing it under running water and make sure no liquids penetrate the appliance).
5) We recommend disinfecting the accessories after each use to limit the risk of infections. In this
case, rinse the mouthpiece, connection and masks under running water, then boil covered in water
for about 10 minutes.
Once disinfection is complete, dry the previously boiled accessories with gauze, being careful not
to burn yourself.
Do not dry the accessories with cloth in order to avoid damaging them.
6) Disinfect all of the components before using the appliance for the first time.
7) The appliance, atomisation chamber and all accessories should be perfectly dry before use.
8) Store the appliance and all accessories in the provided case, in a cool dry location.

TROUBLESHOOTING

- The supply of steam may be interrupted in the following cases:
• If during the treatment, the device has been tilted more than 45°C. Keep the device in the correct
position during inhalation. Re-read the paragraph INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE.
• The drug present in the atomisation chamber has almost run out. The appliance has an automatic
stop device that disables the unit when the medicine is almost finished.
• The batteries are low. When the orange warning light switches on, do not switch on the device,
as this can cause damage. Replace batteries or connect the appliance to the mains (if you have
purchased the transformer).
• There are bubbles in the liquid to be inhaled. Eliminate any bubbles in the atomisation chamber
by gently shaking the aerosol back and forth and then press the "O/I" button.
- The appliance does not operate correctly after a long period of non-use.
• Make sure there are no drug residues in the atomisation chamber. Clean and dry the atomisation
chamber as described
in the paragraph on cleaning.
• Make sure there are no drug residues in the atomisation dispenser and the mask connections
and mouthpiece. To check, fill the atomisation chamber with 6 ml of water and turn on the
appliance. If after 30 minutes there is still water in the atomisation chamber, then the openings
are blocked.
In this case, proceed as follows:
1) Fill the atomisation chamber with 6 ml of water and add 2 drops of vinegar.
2) Turn the appliance on and wait until atomisation is complete.
3) Clean the appliance as described in the paragraph on cleaning.
If the appliance still does not atomise correctly after performing this operation, you can proceed
as follows (only if the previous remedy did not work):
1) Tilt the aerosol 90°C and put a dry cloth under the device as it could drip during this operation.
2) Hold down the "O/I" button until the light flashes purple 1 time.
3) Pour 2 ml of water in the dispenser so atomisation occurs inside the atomisation chamber (see
fig.7).
4) Turn off the unit by pressing the "O/I" button as soon as there is no longer any water in the
dispenser because in inverse mode the appliance does not turn off automatically.
