Welcome to the team of ADT1616 users and thank you very much for expressing your confidence
in BEHRINGER products by purchasing this interface. Although it is really easy to install and operate
the ADT1616, we would like to give you a concise introduction to the features of this ADAT
compatible interface for our digital mixing console BEHRINGER DDX3216. The ADT1616 has two
®
ADAT -compliant optical inputs and outputs (16 inputs/16 outputs), which can be connected to any
compatible device using optical cables. As this interface becomes increasingly popular, not only
"traditional" devices such as digital multi-track machines, but also keyboards, effects devices and
high-end microphone amplifiers have ADAT interfaces installed today. Thus, your ADT1616 will
open up a totally new digital dimension for you!
Your BEHRINGER ADT1616 was carefully packed in the factory and the packaging is designed to
protect the unit from rough handling. Nevertheless, we recommend that you carefully examine the
packaging and its contents for any signs of physical damage, which may have occurred during
transit.

If the unit is damaged, please do not return it to BEHRINGER, but notify your dealer
and the shipping company immediately, otherwise claims for damage or replacement
may not be granted. Shipping claims must be made by the consignee.

Static electricity can severely damage electronic components. Before you touch
any electronic component, please be sure to discharge any static electricity by
touching the metal frame of your DDX3216. Hold the interface on its edges or the
two little handles, but never touch the components themselves!
s Switch off the mixing console.
s To install the interface slacken the screws holding the cover over one of the two expansion
slots on your digital mixing console BEHRINGER DDX3216. Keep the cover for later re-use!
s Hold the interface on its two handles of the connecting panel, and insert it completely into the
expansion slot. Then, fasten the interface with the screws that held the expansion slot cover
before.
s Switch on the mixing console. Now, the ADT1616 is ready for operation.
