- Page 2 Getting Started Your Attic Breeze retrofit-style solar attic fan is designed for easy installation behind or underneath an existing passive vent. Please consult your Attic Breeze dealer for more information regarding alternate installation methods. Your local building code may require specific fasteners or anchoring systems not discussed in this installation guide. If installing this product in an area of either Florida or Texas that has been designated as a high velocity wind zone area, review applicable building code requirements for additional installation instructions.
- Page 3 Step 3 - Installing the Fan Next, remove all packaging material and tape from your fan. Install the Attic Breeze retrofit-style solar fan flush to the mounting box (see Figure 2). The fan housing (cylinder) should be positioned facing toward the attic space. Secure the fan unit to the mounting box with self tapping screws.
