Snatch strap motor vehicle recovery

Always drape an item such as a BUSHRANGER damper blanket over your
snatch strap while in use.
The two vehicles should be in as close to a straight line as possible. NEVER
exceed the maximum steering angle of the vehicles as this significantly
increases the load on the strap(s) and the vehicles.
Equaliser strap(s) connected to the vehicle(s) front recovery points will
distribute the load, reducing the risk of damage to the vehicle(s).
Never drive over the recovery strap as damage to the recovery strap will
occur.
If you have any doubts about whether the recovery procedure is within
the Minimum Breaking Limit of your snatch strap, DO NOT USE IT
Always observe instructions
Care & Maintenance
Do not expose straps to any petroleum-based products, acids or alkaline
solution.
Never store strap in direct sunlight or wet / humid environments.
Allow 24 hours to wrap up strap after recovery. Alternatively wind up
loosely.
Clean straps with warm (pH Neutral) soapy water and allow drying in the
shade. (Never pack the strap away when wet.)
The Environment
Always consider your impact on the environment. 4WDs and recovery
operations may cause long term damage to tracks, particularly during wet
weather.
