1. Use the green knife cassette (6GK1901-
1GB01) with 5.1 mm knife clearance in the
stripping tool (6GK1901-1GA00)!
Note: If your stripping tool was supplied with a
yellow knife cassette, the cutting depth must be
adjusted with the middle socket-head screw after
fitting the new cassette!
6. To strip the insulation, turn the tool in the
direction of the arrow
- approx. 4 times for PVC insulation
- approx, 8 times for PUR insulation.

10. Spread out the four pairs as shown in the
picture above or according to the color
markings on the contact element of the FC
RJ-45 Plug 180 4x2.

2. Take the stripping tool in your right hand.
3. Measure the cable length by placing the
cable against the measuring template
(6GK1901-1BB...). Use your left index
finger as the limit stop.
Note: If the stripping tool has an older measuring
template, the new measure (38 mm from the edge
of the stripping tool) can be added manually.
7. Keeping the stripping tool closed, pull it off
the end of the cable along with the jacket
and remnants of the shield.
Note: If a core is damaged, the section of cable
must be cut off and stripped again.

11. Bend the contact element (approx. 45°).
12. Push the pairs with colors green/green-
white and orange/orange-white into the
lower part of the contact element
according to the color markers. Make sure
that the cores sit correctly in the core
guide slits.
Note: Tweezers can be used to thread the cores
into the core guide slits.

4. Fit the cable in the stripping tool. Your left
index finger is the limit stop.
5. Tighten the stripping tool fully.
8. Remove any remaining white filler with your
hand.
9. Cut off the inner cable spacer as close to
the shield braid as possible. Also shorten
the cable spacer between the two pairs
orange/orange-white, green/green-white,
and blue/blue-white, brown/brown-white
13. Press down the contact element as far as
the limit stop.
Notes: If the cores do not completely fill the core
guide slits, the cable must be stripped again.
If the cores extend beyond the core guide slits,
the cores must be shortened.
Once the IE FC RJ-45 Plug 180 4x2 has been
fitted to a cable it may no longer be fitted to
cables having a different cable cross-section.
