  • Page 6 Front View • Wireless Remote Antenna Connection Port: Used with the  included antenna to extend the unit’s wireless signal • Bluetooth Antenna Connection Port: Used with the included  antenna to extend the unit’s Bluetooth signal • Pairing / Reset Button: Used to pair a new key fob.  Also used  to clear the unit’s memory of paired key fobs and phones (See  page 14 & 15) • Power On/Off Switch:  Used to power on/off the KWR‐005  unit for operation.  It is highly recommended to power off  your unit when the KWR‐005 unit is not in use  Getting Started...

  • Page 8 Back View • Indicator Light ‐ Status Explanations   Blinking green – The unit is receiving power and is ready to  communicate with a key fob / Bluetooth device • Quick‐pace blinking – ready for pairing / connection • Slow‐pace blinking – connected to a mobile device  Solid Red – The unit is not receiving  enough power (voltage is lower than  9V).  A continuous beep sound will  accompany the solid red indicator light  until the unit is powered down, or  receives the correct amount of power Getting Started...

  • Page 10 Key Fob • Power Up:  This will send a Power Up signal to the KWR‐005 unit • Power Down:  This will send a Power Down signal to the KWR‐ 005 unit • Signal Light / Battery Status:  When either the Power Up or  Power Down button is pressed, this will have a solid light to  indicate that the signal is being sent.   • If the light is flashing  while a button is pressed, it means the  battery power is low and will need to be replaced soon • Unused: These buttons do not communicate with the KWR‐005  unit Getting Started...

    Basic Operation • Make sure you are within 30 ft of the KWR‐005 unit with a clear  line of sight.  If you are outside 30 ft or do not have a clear line  of sight, pairing or operating the KWR‐005 will fail • You cannot simultaneously use the BluetoothKTI app  concurrently with the key fob    • The KWR‐005 unit will favor the Bluetooth device if it  successfully connected.  You must close the BluetoothKTI app on your device if you wish to operate the KWR‐005 with  the key fob • Sleep Mode – If the KWR‐005 unit is powered on and left idle  for 5 minutes, the indicator light will stop blinking green. Press  any key on a key fob to wake up the unit Using the KWR‐005...

    Pairing a new key fob with the KWR‐005 unit If you want to pair an additional key fob to a single receiver.  1.  Locate the Pair / Reset Button on the KWR‐005 device.  Press  and hold the button for 3 seconds.  Release the button Pair/Reset Button 2.  On the new key fob that you wish to pair, press either the  Power Up or Power Down button once 3.  After waiting two seconds, the newly paired key fob should be  be able to communicate with the KWR‐005 device if the pairing was  successful Using the KWR‐005...

    Clearing KWR‐005 Memory of Previously Paired Key Fobs 1.  Locate the Pair / Reset Button on the KWR‐005 device.  Press  and hold the button for 10 seconds.  Release the button  Pair/Reset Button If the reset was successful, all previously paired key fobs will be  unable to communicate with the KWR‐005 device Using the KWR‐005...

    Clearing KWR‐005 Memory of Previously Paired Key Fobs + Bluetooth Devices 1.  Locate the Pair / Reset Button on the KWR‐005 device.  Press  and hold the button for 25 seconds.  Release the button  Pair/Reset Button If the reset was successful, all previously paired key fobs and  phones will be unable to communicate with the KWR‐005 device. Note: After clearing the KWR‐005’s memory using this method, your paired Bluetooth device may  not re‐connect.  Please see Troubleshooting Guide (pg 24 for Android, pg 28 for iOS) for more  details on how to forget the KWR‐005 device.   After performing those steps, you should be able to  re‐pair to the KWR‐005 again through Bluetooth.
