3. USE

A. ASSEMBLING AND PROGRAMMING
Before using for the first time or after a long period of non-use, fill the
reservoir to capacity with cold water (without coffee or filter), turn off
the coffee grinder (press the button
and allow one full cycle to go through.
ASSEMBLING
1. Put the water filter in place
• Remove the filter from the plastic wrap and soak in cold water for 15
minutes.
• Rinse the filter under running water for 10 seconds. Then let it drain

completely.
• The compartment that should hold the filter is to the left of the
water reservoir. Open the compartment, remove the filter basket,
position the filter, slide the filter basket to the bottom of the water
reservoir and close the compartment.
• It is recommended that the filter be changed approximately every 60
uses.
2. Rinse the carafe
• Remove the lid of the carafe by turning in the direction indicated.
3. Fill the reservoir with water
• Fill the reservoir with enough cold water for the number of cups
desired (see the markings on the inside of the reservoir).
4. Add the coffee beans
• Release the lid to the coffee grinder by pressing on either side of it.
• Fill with the desired amount of coffee, then close. The maximum
capacity is 14 measures. Do not exceed this maximum capacity to
avoid any risk of poor operation or of overflowing.

CAUTION! The unit will not run if the covers (for the coffee grinder,
the filter basket and the machine itself) are not properly closed.
It will beep and stop running if it is turned on when one of the
covers is open or if one is opened before the end of the cycle. The
beeping will stop as soon as the cover is closed. To start the machine
again, press the ON button.
