MaxLite PhotonMax 315 Ceramic Metal Halide Single Lamp Fixture
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK:
• Turn power off before inspection, installation or removal.
• Protect lamp from direct contact with liquids to avoid breakage from thermal shock.
RISK OF FIRE:
• Keep combustible materials away from lamp during operation.
UNEXPECTED LAMP RUPTURE MAY CAUSE INJURY, FIRE OR PROPERTY DAMAGE
• Do not exceed rated ballast voltage.
• Do not use lamp if outer glass is scratched or broken.
• Do not use beyond rated life.
• Do not turn on lamp until fully installed.
• Use only with a fixture and ballast rated for this product.
• Electrically insulate any metal to glass support in fixture.

LAMP MAY SHATTER AND CAUSE INJURY IF BROKEN

• Do not use excessive force when installing lamp.
• Dispose of lamp in an enclosed container.
• Wear safety glasses and gloves when installing lamp.

LAMP CONTAINS MERCURY

• Manage in accordance with disposal laws.

WARNING:

• R "WARNING: These lamps can cause serious skin burn and eye inflammation from short wave ultraviolet radiation if outer
envelope of the lamp is broken or punctured. Do not use where people will remain for more than a few minutes unless adequate
shielding or other safety precautions are used. Certain lamps that will automatically extinguish when the outer envelope is broken
or punctured are commercially available." This lamp complies with FDA radiation performance standard 21 CFR subchapter J.
(USA:21 CFR 1040.30 Canada: SOR/DORS/80-381)
Metal halide lamps contain mercury. MaxLite strives to preserve the environment and make efficient use of resources. Please
refer to your local environmental laws regarding disposal and recycling of mercury containing lamps. For more information,
please go to www.lamprecycle.org.
WARNING:
Carefully read the warnings below before using or working with the product!
• Always adhere to the local rules and regulations when installing or using the fixture.
• Do not use the fixture when either its lamp or its power cord are damaged. Replace the power cord only with original certified cords.
• Do not expose fixture to:
- Condensing humidity, heavy mist, fog or direct spray.
- Temperatures outside the specified range.
- Dust and contamination.
• Always disconnect the fixture from mains before performing any task on it.
• Always allow for a cool down period of at least 30 minutes before touching the lamp or reflector. Touching the lamp or reflector
when the lamp is lit or immediately afterwards will result in severe burns!
• Do not use the fixture near flammable, explosive or reactive substances. The lamp and reflector of the fixture become very
hot during use.
