Antenna Description and Troubleshooting

PIFA Antenna

The internal antenna has a planar-inverted F antenna (PIFA) radiator attached to the
plastic carrier. An integrated hand-free (IHF) mini speaker is integrated inside the plastic
carrier.
Damaged RF feed point or Ground Pad
The two pads of the antenna must properly connect to the pogo-pin on PWB.
If the main antenna's RF feed pad does not touch the pogo-pin on PWB,
the antenna gain degrades by more than 17 dB.
If the ground pad of the main antenna does not touch pogo-pin on PWB,
the antenna gain degrades from 0.5 to 1 dB.
If either the RF feed pad or ground pad are broken, covered or removed,
such that either pad does not touch the pogo-pin on PWB, replace the
SAM Module.
