6. Disabling the internal speaker
Remove the L-Cover at the left end of the mirror using a Mini
screwdriver (see Figure2), to gain access to the small switch inside.
To disable the internal speaker, set the switch to the off position (See
Figure3). Set the switch to the ON position to enable the internal speaker
(see Figure3).
7. How to Calibrate the Compass Direction
A. Ensure the Compass Sensor has been securely mounted.
B. Press the Calibration Switch to the "IN" position.
C. Drive the vehicle in one or more complete circles.
WARNING: Calibration must have 10 seconds at least.
D. Press the Calibration Switch again, returning the switch to the
"OUT" position. Now the mirror will display the compass direction
accurately.
NOTE: Calibration may provide more accurate heading information. If the
heading information on the display seems inaccurate, calibrating may correct
this condition. Times when re-calibration may be important include:
i.
First time use of the system.
ii.
Any time the compass sensor has been re-positioned.
iii.
A change in residence of more than 200 miles.
iv.
The heading display is not accurate.
