    2. Introduction The Hood Infiltrometer IL-2700 (Fig. 1) is used for measuring the soil hydraulic conductivity near saturation in field tests. Infiltration starts from a closed hood filled with water and stand- ing on the ground. The circular surface under the hood is directly covered with water and acts as the source area of infiltration flow.

First of all the handheld device IL-2700 is switched on pushing the “On”-button.
