Observations on the part of
BMW Motorrad in the field
indicate that a comparable

situation has not arisen in
ordinary road traffic or even
during on-circuit training
courses.
Always bear the following
in mind when taking part in
road-safety training courses:
Check the telltale and warn-
ing lights before each brak-
ing practice
After five braking practices
at the most, ride the motor-
cycle a lengthy distance to
recharge the battery
Switch off consumers such
as seat heating and heated
handlebar grips, radio,
navigation system and
accessories connected to
the sockets
Keep the ignition switched
off during breaks and con-
sultations; if the engine is
killed by means of the kill
switch the light and all elec-
tronic systems remain on
and will drain the power re-
serves of the battery
