Elimination of malfunctions

Malfunction

Cause
thermostat valve(s) are
installed in the room where
the regulator is mounted
the flow temperature of the
heating unit is set too low
the mounting location of the
regulator is inappropriate,
e.g. outside wall, close to a
window, draught,...
temporary influence of
external heating sources on
the regulator e.g. by insola-
tion, room lighting, TV, fire-
place, etc.
the time of day is set incor-
rectly at the time switch
high regenerative capacity
of the building
wrong wiring of the regulator
very short power failure
Elimination
have the thermostat valve
replaced by a hand valve or
completely open the thermo-
stat valve(s)
set the flow temperature to a
higher value
select a more appropriate
mounting location (see chap-
ter mounting) or use an exter-
nal temperature sensor
(accessory)
select a more appropriate

check the setting
select an earlier starting time
for economic operating mode
check the wiring according to
