    Service department. User group Only instructed and/or trained personnel over 16 years of age are allowed to set up or operate the EFA pneumatically operated dehider. Furthermore, it is imperative that everyone working with and on the machine has read and understood the operating instructions, and observes them.

    Areas of application The pneumatically operated dehider EFA 620 (with a pair of blades moving in opposite directions) and EFA 2000 (with single blade moving in a circular path) are used for dehiding cattle, horses, sheep and pigs in non-frozen condition.

    There is a risk of injury especially in the uncovered area of the sharp pair of blades moving in opposite directions (EFA 620) or the single blade moving in a circular path (EFA 2000). Remain focused and act with caution when working. Wear personal protective equipment.

    EFA dehider Original operating instructions Transport and storage The machine has been tested and carefully checked in our factory before shipment. The test ensures that the machine is working properly. Despite all care taken, there is a possibility that the machine could be damaged during transport.

    5.1.2 Connecting the pneumatically operated dehider The pneumatically operated dehiders are delivered from the factory ready for use. EFA 620 (see Fig. 5.1)  Connect the dehider (5) to an oil mist  lubricator (1) (special accessory) with an air hose (6).

    During daily cleaning, please check whether parts of the pneumatically operated dehider are worn out. Timely renewal of worn parts saves costs! Daily cleaning after completion of the slaughtering Trouble-free continuous operation can only be guaranteed if the EFA dehider is kept perfectly and hygienically clean at all times. Also observe the safety instructions in the product data sheets of the cleaning agents.

During operation, it is possible that the function can be disrupted, but in most cases, troubleshooting is relatively easy. The malfunctions are listed in Table 9.1 with possible causes and resulting remedies.
