  • Page 6 OPERATION For the First Use As there may be manufacturing residue or oil in the toaster or heat element, usually it will emit an odour during first use. This is normal and will not occur after several uses. For the first use it is suggested to follow to the below steps, except without bread, then let the toaster cool down and begin toasting the first slice.
  • Page 7 FUNCTIONS If you want to toast frozen bread, firstly press the Defrost button and the indicator on the Defrost button will be illuminated, set the Control dial to your desired colour and then lower the Toast lever until it is latched in place. In this mode bread will be toasted to your desired colour.
