Connecting
WARNING
Hazardous voltages from the mains power input or heat
emitter lines
May cause death, serious injury or damage to property
Dangerous voltages may be present on incoming lines
from the supply and to heat emitters.
Before work starts on connecting the HCS3200 heating
controller, the incoming supply and heat emitter lines must
be disconnected and secured against being switched on
again.
NOTICE
The connected loads (heat emitter and fans) must not
exceed the permissible total power of the device, namely
25,200 W.
Connection element locations: See Figure 4
Connection diagram: See Figure 7
Recommended connector accessories with order number:
See Figure 6
You can procure further accessories for X1 and X2 via the

You can procure accessories for X3 and X4 via Siemens
Industry Mall (www.siemens.com/siplus/mall).
X1 Mains connection / protective conductor connection
X2 Connection of emitter / fan
X3 PROFIBUS DP / 24 V DC supply voltage
X4 PROFIBUS DP / 24 V DC supply voltage
WARNING
Electric shock hazard / fire hazard
Danger to life or danger of serious injury
● Voltages to ground of 230 V AC may be present at X2.
The connection cables must have double or reinforced
insulation.
● The protective conductor for the device is connected to
plug connector X1.
The protective conductor must be attached to the
connector in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
NOTICE
The phase sequence Lx to Ly must be clockwise.
Otherwise, the fault diagnostics of the external fan will not
work properly.
