Freedom Designs Easy Back Fitting Instructions

NOTE: Please read the following instructions carefully prior to assembly
This item should be fitted by an experienced clinician or technician. This document
contains important information that must be passed on to the user at delivery.
The Easy Back has been crash tested in accordance with BS 7176 Part 19, and is suitable
for use in transport when correctly fitted. However, it is important to ensure that the
wheelchair it is fitted to has also been crash tested and is suitable to be used as a seat in
transport.
Before each use: Undertake visual check for loose or worn screws and fittings.
Annually: Ensure the backrest system is inspected for loose or worn fastenings and that
the torque settings are checked by a suitably qualified and competent person.
The Easy Back is designed to provide the important benefits of a posterior back support. It
is designed to provide simple, comfortable and effective support to help maximise function
and increase sitting tolerance.
The backrest is suitable for use on wheelchairs with 22mm or 7/8" and 25mm or 1"
backposts including reclining wheelchairs. Please note that the user will reposition in
relation to the lateral supports when the backrest is reclined and therefore may affect
stability or cause discomfort.
If for any reason you should require additional training regarding the assembly of this
hardware, please contact Invacare on the number listed on page 4, and we will be glad to
provide the training free of charge.
Easy Back has a warranty of 2 years, with a lifetime warranty on hardware. The Easy Back
has a lifecycle of 5 years.
