Text Messaging

Your phone supports four text modes:
ABC mode to type letters by pressing a key until the correct

letter displays. To type the, press the 8 key once, the 4 key
twice, and the 3 key twice.
T9 mode to type words with only
®
n
one keystroke per letter and the
phone predicts the word you want.
To type the, press 8, 4, 3.
Numeric mode to type numbers.
n
Symbol mode to type symbols.
n
Change text mode
While in the text entry screen,
press # to cycle through the
different text modes or select
Options > Input mode and
select ABC, T9, Numeric, or
Symbols.

Send message
1. From the main screen, select Menu.
2. Select Messages.
3. Select Create new.
4. Select Text message.
5. Type the message and select Send to.
6. Select one of the following:
Recent recipients: Select the contact(s) and select Add.

Phonebook: Select the contact(s) and select Add.
n
New number: Type the phone number and select Add.
n
7. Select Send.
Read and delete message
Your phone notifies you when you receive a new text message.
To read the message, select View.
To access messages in your inbox:
1. From the main screen, select Menu.
2. Select Messages.
3. Scroll to Inbox and press the OK key.
4. Scroll to the message and press the OK key to view.
To delete, select Options > Delete and select Yes.
Separate charges may apply to send/receive domestic/international text messages.
