    IMPORTANT INSTALLER AND USERS PLEASE NOTE: These instructions should be read carefully and left with the user of the product for future reference. This product is only suitable for well insulated spaces or occasional use. BEFORE USE You must inspect the appliance including its cable and plug for any signs of damage.

    INSTALLATION This product must only be fitted by a competent person and after a site survey has been conducted to assess the suitability of the structure this product will be fitted to. This product must be fitted using appropriate fixings to a flat, vertical wall. Primary fixing point holes must be positioned at a distance of 385mm apart and at least 1.87m from the floor (the base of the unit must be at least 1.8m from the floor).

    OPERATION Note: When heaters are turned on for the first time, or when they are turned on after not being used for a prolonged period of time, it is normal for the heater to emit some smell or fumes. This will disappear when the heater has been on a short while.
  • Page 5 Set Time Before the unit is operated, ensure you set the correct time. On the remote control, press , the control panel will show the current room temperature. SET DAY: press “SET” button once. I/W light will illuminate. Use buttons to set the day from 1-7 (1=Monday, 2=Tuesday…7=Sunday).
  • Page 6 Delay start timer The unit can be set to switch on after a period of time and remain on for a set period of time. This function can only be programmed through the remote control. 1. With the unit in standby mode press then and the delay light and I/W light will illuminate.
  • Page 7 Open Door/Window Function The open door function is an energy saving mechanism that enables the unit to track changes in temperature and will stop the unit from operating if the thermostat registers a rapid drop in temperature of 3°C (ie, if a door or window were to be opened).

    The amount you are being charged will be shown on your electricity bill. At this cost, the EH1896 will cost £0.29 per hour to run, with the heater on full power and thermostat set to maximum. If the thermostat is used to regulate the temperature, the operating costs will be lower, depending on the room temperature and the size of the room.

    Power consumption: SERVICE WARRANTY Prem-I-Air guarantees the product free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year. Should this unit be operated under conditions other than those recommended, at voltages other than the voltage indicated on the unit, or any attempts made to service or modify the unit, then the warranty will be rendered void.
