P1HZ X1 Introduction Validity of documentation This documentation is valid for the product P1HZ X1. It is valid until new documentation is published. This operating manual explains the function and operation, describes the installation and provides guidelines on how to connect the product.
Safety Intended use The two-hand control relay P1HZ X1 meets the requirements of EN 574 Type IIIA. It forces the operator to keep his hands outside the hazardous area during the hazardous move- ment. It is designed for use in two-hand control devices. Please note the type of two-hand control devices as stated in the relevant C standard.
VDC) are present on the unit, connected control elements and sensors must have a rated insulation voltage of at least 250 V. Unit features Positive-guided relay outputs: – 2 safety contacts (N/O), instantaneous Connection options for: – 2 control elements (pushbuttons) LED display for: – Supply voltage Operating Manual P1HZ X1 20067-EN-06...
Y1- Y2 is closed. The "POWER" LED lights up. Both operator elements are operated within the simultaneity: – Safety contacts 13-14 and 23-24 close, the device is active. – LEDs "CH1" and "CH2" will light. Operating Manual P1HZ X1 20067-EN-06...
To activate the device again, both operator elements have to be released and then op- erated again within the simultaneity. Operating modes Dual-channel operation with detection of shorts across contacts: Redundant input cir- cuit, P1HZ X1 detects – earth faults in the start and input circuit, –...
The power supply must comply with the regulations for extra low voltages with protect- ive electrical separation (SELV, PELV) in accordance with VDE 0100, Part 410. Ensure the wiring and EMC requirements of EN 60204-1 are met. Preparing for operation Supply voltage Operating Manual P1HZ X1 20067-EN-06...
Earth fault: When in accordance with EN 60204 T 9.4.3.1 the phase L (-) of the supply voltage is connected to the earth potential, earth faults are detected. In case of earth faults in the input circuit or feedback loop, the internal supply voltage fails and the Operating Manual P1HZ X1 20067-EN-06...
