    Preparation ESD Measures To prevent damage when you work with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) sensitive parts, perform the following: Before starting any BDP Unit Assembly repair, check the working space to ensure it meets ESD requirements. Use caution when handling the ESD-resistance of the BD Laser. The BD laser is more fragile than a DVD/CD laser. Ensure anyone repairing the BDP Unit Assembly follows all safety guidelines.

    BU (Optical Block) Repair Guide BDP 5G (BDP UNIT ASSY) series component structure is the same as conventional DVD Players. However this BD player requires precise read out functions and also has a secure contents Protection system. Because of this requirement, it is necessary to set/adjust BU data to EEPROM.

    BU Adjustment Flow [yy] ~ AFTER BU/MB Replacement ~ Remove the defective BU from Loading Assy. Also remove the BU dumpers (4pcs). Unpack new parts and take Barcode photo by camera. Assemble BU with dumpers to Loading Assy After finishing the Rewrite OP data, confirm (tighten screw with 2kgf).
