CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Unplug the unit and let it cool before cleaning.
Wash the inner cooking pot with hot soapy water, using a clean
dishcloth and rinse afterward. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. The inner
cooking pot can also be cleaned in a dishwasher
The accessories including measuring cup and spoon can also be
cleaned under warm, soapy water if required and may also be
placed in the dishwasher. The outer housing CANNOT go into a
dishwasher.
Wash the inner surface of the lid thoroughly, including the steam
release knob, anti-block shield and float valve, with warm, soapy
water and a clean rag.
Wipe the outer housing with a clean damp cloth. DO NOT
submerge in water!
Always clean the pressure cooker thoroughly after every use or if it
has not been used for an extended period.
Always check that the sealant ring is clean and in good shape. If
you need to remove the sealant ring for cleaning, turn the lid
upside down, grasp the middle knob of the anti-blocking shield
and pull out to remove. Separate the sealant ring from the shield to
wash the two pieces separately. Clean under warm soapy water,
rinse and dry thoroughly. Line the sealant ring back on the shield
and lock them back into the lid by pressing the middle knob back
in.
Make sure to empty, clean and replace the condensation trap
before each use.
Note: If the sealant ring is not positioned properly, the unit will not build
pressure. The silicon sealant ring needs to always be properly
positioned. Check periodically to make sure that it is clean, flexible,
and not cracked or torn. DO NOT use chemical cleaners.
