A) If you observe the previous contents of clipboard showing up in your document
instead of the AlphaSmart file do one of these:
1) Press Clover-Z twice, or
2) Press Clover-P to paste the AlphaSmart file, or
3) Press send again on your AlphaSmart.
B) Transferring files to MSWorks takes longer than other programs like ClarisWorks.
For example, it takes 1 minutes to transfer a 5 page file in ClarisWorks. In MSWorks,
it takes 5 minutes; 1 minute to transfer that data from the AlphaSmart to the Mac
and then MSWorks takes another 4 minutes to paste it into your document. (This is a
problem with MSWorks, all pastes of this length in MSWorks take this long,
regardless of whether it is from TurboTransfer or the user doing the paste.)
C) If the clipboard is empty when MSWord starts up -- like it will be if you just
booted your Mac -- all you will get is a 'Beep' when you try to transfer from the
AlphaSmart. What is happening is that the paste command is grayed out -- disabled
and when TurboTransfer issues a paste command, it beeps telling you you can't do
that.
Solution:
Copy something to clipboard before launching MS Word. Easiest is probably to go to
Scrapbook under the Apple menu and do a copy (clover -C) of anything.
Can also try the transfer (it beeps, won't let you), then quit and relaunch MS Word, it
will work fine now. This is a bug in how MSWord handles the Clipboard.

(without TurboTransfer, fastest transfer is 13 min)
8 page file, or files 2-6:
With TurboTransfer, 8 pages per minute.
1 minute & 5 sec.
