Cable/Satellite/Other Set-Top Box Connections (Optional)

NOTE: The following instructions are for Cable/Satellite/Other set-top boxes that have component video or composite video
outputs. Some older cable boxes may have RF output only. In this case, you'll be making an RF connection outside the rack.
Connect the incoming cable feed to the cable box RF input. Connect the cable box RF output to the wall plate at the main room
television location.
1. Connect SAT In to cable R5.
2. Connect RF In to cable R4.
3. Connect composite Video Output to cable V21.
4. Connect Left Audio Line output to cable A19.
5. Connect Right Audio Line Output to cable A20.
6. If you are using the Coaxial Digital Audio Output, connect the Coaxial Digital Audion Output to cable A23.
7. If you are using the Optical Audio Output, first disconnect cable T1 from the supplied coax-to-optical converter.
Then connect the Optical Digital Audio Output to cable T1.
8. Connect R (Pr) Component Video Output to cable V6.
9. Connect G (Y) Component Video Output to cable V7.
10. Connect B (Pb) Component Video Output to cable V8.
11. Connect a self-adhesive infrared flasher from the "IR output 5" output of the Multi-Room Distribution Unit to the infrared receiving
window on the front of the cable TV or satellite set-top box.
12. Connect the Ethernet/Phone jack to cable C8.
13. Connect the cable TV or satellite set-top box AC cord to an AC outlet on the power strip.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are distributing video output from a single, centralized Cable, Satellite or Other set-top box, you must
program the Multi-Room Distribution Unit for the specific remote control codes of the set-top box you're installing. Please refer to
Programming section of this manual for the procedure.
