  • Page 29 Earthing the swimming pool (TTP): This protects the pool from possible electrical discharges from atmospheric conditions or other causes. Take the pool earth connection from the penultimate wall plate fastening screw and connect the cable to a metal earth rod. The deeper the rod is buried in the ground, the better it will work. Then connect a cable from the rod to the pool ladder.

Start pouring water into the pool through a garden hose, and stop 4 cm below the bottom of the valve hole (check the liner is clean before filling the pool).
