PRESETTING → I
A total of 30 stations can be preset, 10 stations for each AM, FM1 and FM2 band.
1 Release the HOLD switch.
2 Press the RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE button to select AM, FM1 or FM2.
If
is displayed in the display, keep the RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE button
pressed for about 2 seconds until
disappears.
3 Press the UP or DOWN button to tune in to a station.
4 Keep the RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE button pressed for about 2 seconds
until
appears in the display.
5 Keep one of the numeric (1 – 5) buttons pressed for 1 – 2 seconds to select the
preset number. For preset number 6 and above, press and release the +5 button
first.
Example: To select preset number 8, press and release the +5 button. While "5" is
flashing, press the 3 button for 1 – 2 seconds.
To preset two or more stations, repeat the procedure from step 1.
To change the presetting
Repeat the procedure from step 1.
Listening to preset stations → J
1 Release the HOLD switch.
2 Press the RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE button to select AM, FM1 or FM2.
3 Keep the RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE button pressed for about 2 seconds
until
appears in the display.
4 Press and release the numeric (1 – 5) buttons to select the desired preset number.
For preset number 6 and above, press and release the +5 button first.
Example: To select preset number 8, press and release the +5 button. While "5" is
flashing, press and release the 3 button.
After listening, press the RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE button repeatedly to turn off
the radio.
Note
While
is displayed, the S-BASS button functions as only the numeric "3" button.
To emphasize the low frequencies, keep the RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE button
pressed for 2 seconds until
disappears, then press the S-BASS button.
Caution
When selecting a preset station, DO NOT HOLD the numeric (1 – 5) buttons for
more than a second. Otherwise, currently-tuned station will be preset to that button
instead.
Frequency range and step → K
Radio broadcasts have different frequency ranges and change in different steps in different
countries.
This unit is factory preset to use in Europe (local) and other areas. To use the unit in
North and South America, change the receivable frequency ranges and steps as below.
1 Release the HOLD switch.
2 Press the RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE button to turn on the radio.
3 Hold down both 4 and +5 buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
Each time they are held, the band setting is displayed cyclically as below.
EU : Europe (local) and other areas
US : North and South America
• To return to the factory preset frequency range and step directly, hold down both
UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
• When the frequency range and step are changed, the preset stations are erased.

To clean the head and the tape path
After every 10 hours of use, clean the head and the tape path with a head cleaning
cassette or cotton swab moistened with cleaning fluid or denatured alcohol. (These
cleaning kits are commercially available.) When cleaning with a cotton swab a, wipe
the playback head b, the pinch rollers c and the capstans d.
To clean the cabinet
Use a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use strong
solvents such as alcohol, benzine or thinner.
If erroneous operation or display occurs → M
Press the RESET button with a thin rod to reset the unit.
If the unit is reset, the stations that you preset are erased.

Bis zu 30 Festsender lassen sich einstellen, jeweils 10 für AM, FM1 und FM2.
1 Geben Sie den HOLD-Schalter frei.

Ist
im Display angezeigt, halten Sie die Taste RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE
ca. 2 Sekunden lang gedrückt, bis
verschwindet.
3 Stellen Sie mit Taste UP oder DOWN einen Sender ein.
4 Halten Sie Taste RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE ca. 2 Sekunden lang gedrückt,
bis
im Display erscheint.
5 Halten Sie eine der Zifferntasten (1 bis 5) 1 bis 2 Sekunden lang gedrückt, um
die Festsender-Nr. zu wählen. Ab Festsender-Nr. 6 drücken Sie zunächst Taste
+5.
Beispiel: Zur Wahl von Festsender-Nr. 8 drücken Sie zunächst Taste +5 und dann 1
bis 2 Sekunden lang Zifferntaste 3, während „5" auf dem Display blinkt.
Zur Einstellung weiterer Festsender wiederholen Sie das Verfahren von Schritt 1 an.
Zur Änderung der Festsendereinstellung
Wiederholen Sie den Einstellvorgang an Schritt 1.
Empfang von Festsendern → J

Ab Festsender-Nr. 6 drücken Sie zunächst Taste +5.

Zifferntaste 3, während „5" auf dem Display blinkt.
Nach der Radiohörung, schalten Sie das Radio durch entsprechend häufiges Drücken
der Taste RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE aus.
Hinweis
Wenn
angezeigt wird, funktioniert die S-BASS-Taste lediglich als Zifferntaste „3".
Zur Baßbetonung halten Sie in diesem Fall Taste RADIO ON/OFF/BAND MODE 2
Sekunden lang gedrückt, bis
vom Display verschwindet, und drücken Sie dann
Taste S-BASS.
Achtung:
Bei Wahl eines Festsenders dürfen Sie die Zifferntasten (1 bis 5) KEINESFALLS
länger als eine Sekunde gedrückthalten. Andernfalls wird der aktuell empfangene
Sender der jeweiligen Taste als Festsender zugeordnet.

Für Radiosender gelten in unterschiedlichen Ländern unterschiedliche Frequenzbereiche
und unterschiedliche Einstellintervalle.
Dieses Gerät ist werkseitig für den Gebrauch in Europa (örtlich) und anderen Regionen
eingestellt. Wenn Sie das Gerät in Nord- und Südamerika benutzen wollen, ändern Sie
die empfangbaren Frequenzbereiche und die Einstellintervalle wie im folgenden erläutert.
1 Geben Sie den HOLD-Schalter frei.
2 Schalten Sie das Radio mit der Taste RADIO ON/OFF BAND MODE ein.
3 Halten Sie die Tasten 4 und +5 gleichzeitig 3 Sekunden lang gedrückt.

Zur Reinigung von Tonkopf und Bandlaufweg
Reinigen Sie nach jeweils 10 Betriebsstunden Tonkopf und Bandlaufweg mit einer
Kopfreinigungs-Cassette
oder
einem
Wattebauschstäbchen,
Reinigungsflüssigkeit oder Spiritus angefeuchtet ist. (Solche Reinigungssatz sind im
Fachhandel erhältlich.) Bei der Reinigung mit Wattebauschstäbchen a gehen Sie bitte
in der Reihenfolge Wiedergabekopf b, Andruckrollen c und Tonwellen d vor.
Reinigung des Gehäuses
Hierzu eignet sich ein weiches Tuch, das leicht mit etwas mildem Spülmittel angefeuchtet
ist. Starke Lösungsmittel wie Alkohol, Waschbenzin oder Verdünner greifen das Gehäuse
an und dürfen daher keinesfalls verwendet werden.
Bei Störungen oder unzulässigen Displayanzeigen → M
Drücken Sie den RESET-Knopf mit einem dünnen länglichen Gegenstand, um das Gerät
rückzusetzen.
Nach der Rücksetzung des Geräts sind die abgespeicherten Festsender gelöscht.

Les stations de radio émettent dans des plages de fréquences différentes et suivant des
intervalles différents dans chaque pays.
Cet appareil est réglé par défaut pour les pays en du en Europe (local) et autres zones
géographiques. Pour pouvoir utiliser cet appareil dans d'Amérique du Nord et latine,
changez les plages de fréquences captables et les intervalles selon la procédure suivante.

Pour nettoyer la tête et le parcours de la bande

Toutes les 10 heures de fonctionnement, nettoyez la tête et le parcours de la bande
avec une cassette de nettoyage de tête ou une ouate de coton humidifiée de liquide de
nettoyage ou d'alcool dénaturé. (Ces kits de nettoyage sont disponibles dans le
commerce.) Au nettoyage avec une ouate de coton a, essuyez la tête de lecture b, les
galets presseurs c et les cabestans d.
Nettoyage du coffret
Utiliser un chiffon doux légèrement humidifié de solution détergente douce. Ne pas
employer de solvant fort, tel qu'alcool, benzine ou diluant.
En cas d'opération erronée ou d'affichage incorrect → M
Appuyez sur le bouton RESET avec une tige fine pour remettre l'appareil à zéro.
A la remise à zéro, les stations préréglées seront effacées.
