    A terminator can be inspected for return loss problems using the WFM 601M or WFM 601E waveform monitor and a serial source with low aberrations, such as the Tektronix TG 2000 mainframe with a DVG1 Generator module. Connect the generator serial output to one side of the waveform monitor loop-through connector and install the terminator on the other side.

    4. Terminate the other side of the loop-through the SER A input with the 75 terminator. 5. For the WFM 601A only, connect one of the Function Generator audio outputs to pins 8 and 9 of the REMOTE 25-pin connector; connect the other output to pins 10 and 11.
