When in good condition, you will hear a metallic sound. A muffled sound indicates a crack or break. 2. Use only original grinding wheels from FUXTEC with a hub diameter of 22.2mm (7/8"). Do not try to change or modify the mounting hole of the grinding wheel of another size to make it fit. -

4. Assembly 1. When installing the sharpener on a workbench, make sure that the ratchet wheel (#40) is accessible. (See Fig. 2. Screw (screws not supplied) the base of the device directly to the workbench, use the two 6mm holes on the bottom (#36). -

Refer to the assembly drawing on page 10 and the various pictures. Note: Open the upper housing while adjusting the chain. - Page 9 4. Look at Figures 5 and 6. Loosen the screw (#40) to turn the housing. Turn the housing to the desired degree of rotation. Chains exist in different sizes and with different angles for sharpening. Consult the chain manufacturer's instructions to determine which angle you need to sharpen the chain. When you have adjusted the angle, tighten the screw (#40).

6. Maintenance 1. Keep the sharpener clean and free from dust, metal abrasion and dirt. 2. Check the grinding wheel for damage before each use. Do not use a grinding wheel that is cracked, broken, or worn.
