4. Start at the opposite end of the valve
(2) so that any air possibly remaining
can escape through the valve as it is
folded together.
5. Keep folding the mat until it has the
width of the carrying bag.
6. Store the mat in the carrying bag.

Cleaning and Storage

PLEASE NOTE!
Do not use any caustic or abrasive
cleaning agents or pads to clean the
mat and air pump. They may damage
the surfaces.
Only clean the mat with a damp, soft
cloth and detergent if necessary. Then
wipe dry with a dry, soft cloth.
Store the mat folded up in the
transport bag in a clean, dry, frost-free
place which is protected from direct
sunlight and is out of the reach of
children and animals.

Repairs

The items supplied include a repair kit
which allows you to repair any minor
damage yourself. Such repairs also
require adhesive, which is not one of the
items supplied. If you are unsure which
adhesive is the best one to use, ask at a
specialist store.
Do not repair any major damage yourself,
but instead have it repaired by a
professional or call the customer service
department.
Small tears?
Is the mat losing air too quickly? Then it
has a small hole which you should patch
as quickly as possible. Patching the mat is
done in the same way as the well-known
method of patching a bicycle inner tube.
You require: a clean rag, acetone, PVC
patch, adhesive, a blunt pencil.
We recommend carrying out the
repair at room temperature. This is
ideal for the mat material and the
adhesive.
1. The fi rst thing to do is to fi nd the leak.
The trick involving soapy water helps:
Simply apply plenty of it to the surface
of the infl ated mat and then watch
where bubbles form.
IMPORTANT! If a seam is aff ected,
it is essential to inform the customer
service department. A repair on a
seam is more complicated and cannot
be carried out with the repair kit
supplied.
2. Mark the damaged area with the
pencil.
3. Let all of the air out of the mat (see the
"Releasing Air and Storing the Mat"
chapter).
4. Lay the damaged area out so that it
lies fl at and without any creases on an
even fl oor surface.
5. Clean the area carefully with acetone.
6. Cut an appropriate patch from the
repair kit to the correct size.
Please Note: Do not cut too small.
The patch should be big enough that it
can cover an area of approx. 5 – 7 cm
around the hole or tear. Round off the
corners of the patch or cut round or
oval patches. This increases the level
of durability.
7. Place the patch on the damaged spot
and draw around it with the pencil.
8. Also clean the bottom of the patch
with acetone.
9. Apply a thin layer of adhesive to the
area around the damaged spot and to
the patch.
10. Allow the adhesive to dry for approx.
5 – 8 minutes.
11. Apply the patch and glue it down by
stroking from the centre outwards.
Make sure that no creases are
formed.
