Baby Control
Easy Listening Baby Control ensures that you are always
in contact with your child.
You can hear your child, at night and during the day, if it
cries, and you can listen to it while it is speaking or play-
ing in its bedroom.
Baby Control is in fact a wireless device with warning
lights, which signal the presence of sounds in the child's
bedroom even when the volume is turned down.

WARNINGS
- Due to the different transmission frequencies author-
ised in each different country, the use of this equipment
may not be permitted in countries different from those
indicated on the package and in this instruction book-
let.
- Chicco Baby Control is not intended to substitute the
supervision of children by adults. This equipment must
only be used as a surveillance support system. Any oth-
er use is to be considered inappropriate.
Before use, always ensure that the equipment is working
correctly.
- Always check that the signal can be received in the area
of use and at the maximum distance foreseen.
- The maximum operating distance between transmit-
ter and receiver is of approximately 150 metres in
open fi eld and approximately 50 metres indoors. The
transmission range could be reduced signifi cantly in the
presence of particular environmental conditions (i.e.
such as metal structures, magnetic fi elds and reinforced
concrete walls), when the units are placed in rooms lo-
cated on different fl oors, if the batteries are low, etc.

- When the Baby Control units are powered by a mains
adaptor, the receiver and/or transmitter stop operat-
ing in the event of power cuts, when batteries have not
been fi tted into the units, or if they are insuffi ciently
charged.
- Warning! If, for any reason, the transmitter stops op-
erating, the receiver will not emit any warning signal,
except from some intense hissing, if the volume is not
turned down completely. It is recommended to always
check that the batteries fi tted into the equipment are
fully charged, and that the units are operating cor-
rectly.
- Always connect the adaptors to mains sockets that are
easily accessible.
- Always check that the voltage shown on the voltage
rating plate of the mains adaptors corresponds to the
voltage of your electrical installation.
- Always keep Baby Control and its accessories out of
reach of children, especially the power cable of the
mains adaptors.
- Do not use the transmitter, receiver or adaptors in plac-
es that are too humid or under the rain; do not wet or
submerge the equipment in water.
- Do not place the equipment near sources of heat, such
as radiators, or windows exposed to the sun.
- Do not use this equipment close to fl uorescent lamps
(Neon) or other electrical/electronic appliances such as
televisions, DVD/CD readers, personal computers, mo-
tors, etc. They might interfere with the quality of trans-
mission/reception of the equipment or prevent it.
- If the transmitter, receiver and adaptors have ventilation
openings, check that they are always unobstructed
- The operation of this product requires the use of public
frequencies (as foreseen by the laws in force). For this
reason, the receiver may intercept signals or voices
from other similar equipment nearby; similarly, the
sounds emitted by your transmitter may be intercepted
by other equipment nearby. Should this happen, it is
recommended to select the second transmission chan-
nel available.
- Do not short-circuit the battery or equipment termi-
nals.
- Do not open the equipment. The transmitter, receiver
and mains adaptors do not contain parts, which can be
used by the user. Should the product be damaged, con-
tact a qualifi ed technician, danger of electric shock.
- Do not use the equipment if it shows signs of damage
(in particular the power cable and the adaptors) and/or
it has fallen into water.
- The characteristics of this product may be modifi ed at
any time, without prior warning.
HOW TO USE BABY CONTROL
How to Power the Two Units
Each Baby Control unit can be powered by 4 x "AA" 1.5
Volt alkaline type batteries (not included) or through the
mains, using the adaptors supplied.
Warnings:
The mains adaptor may be used with the batteries fi tted
into the equipment. In case of power cuts, the equipment
continues to operate using battery power, if the batteries
are fi tted into the equipment and are fully charged.
Only use mains adaptors and/or batteries of the same
type or equivalent to the type indicated in the manual.
The use of different adaptors and/or batteries might
damage the equipment and be a source of danger for the
user.
