1. SAFETY
Ensure that all components are in good order and fit for purpose. DO NOT use if you are unsure.

The mask is for single use only, and should not be removed from its packaging until it is required for use.

Wear the mask for the whole period of exposure. It should not be used for more than 8 hours (1 shift) and should be discarded safely

and appropriately after use.
The user should be instructed on how to fit the mask properly and made aware of these instructions before using the mask.
Use only in adequately ventilated areas which DO NOT have a deficiency of oxygen.
Facial hair or beards and certain facial characteristics may reduce the effectiveness of the mask.
If the mask is removed whilst in the contaminated area it should be replaced.
If the mask is damaged in use it must be replaced.
DO NOT use the mask in an explosive environment.

DO NOT store or transport masks in direct sunlight. Store in frost free, dry conditions.

NOTE: If the User exhibits an allergic reaction to the mask, they must leave the hazard area and seek medical advice.
2. INTRODUCTION
Valved cup mask class FFP3 NR. Protects against solid dust and oil mist up to 50 x OEL. Fitted with adjustable band, nose liner
and aluminium nose clip to fit all face contours. Also fitted with breathing vent to provide more comfort and better communication
as well as reducing heat build-up. Conforms to EN149:2001 + A1:2009. This product is not suitable for medical use.

4. FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
4.1.
Cup mask in one hand with nose piece at fingertips, allow the headbands to hang freely below the hand (fig.1.1)
4.2.
Hold mask under chin with nose piece upwards (fig.1.2)
4.3.
Locate the upper strap across the crown of the head and the lower below the ears, straps must not be twisted (fig.1.2/3/4).
4.4.
Using both hands, mould the nose clip to the lower part of the nose to ensure a close fit and good seal. Pinching the nose clip using
only one hand may result in less effective performance (fig.1.5).

The mask seal on the face should be fit checked before entering the workplace (fig.1.6).
4.6.
If the user feels that the straps are too loose and not possible to achieve a satisfactory seal, the straps may be knotted to shorten
them.
4.7.
The seal of the respirator on the face should be fit-checked prior to wearing in the work area. To test fit the respirator, place
both hands over the respirator and exhale sharply. Positive pressure should be felt inside the respirator. If air is felt escaping around
the edges, readjust the respirator.
