Getting Started with Snaptune One
Tip: Snaptune will make multiple attempts to identify each song it finds. However, if a song has not been
identified by Snaptune within about 2 weeks, it will no longer try. We encourage you to enter the
information if you know the identity of the song. This will benefit all Snaptune users.
Tip: Snaptune provides a search feature that uses Google to find songs based on their lyrics. From within
the Song edit page, type a line from the song and click on the search for these on Google button. A
browser will come forward with the search results. Typically, the song will be identified quickly using the
lyrics in this fashion. Snaptune is not affiliated with any of the sites in which the lyrics were found. Use this
feature at your own risk.
Tip: While listening to a song that has been identified, if you want to sing along with it, go to the Edit
Song panel and click on the search for these on Google button. It will use the artist and title to search for
the lyrics.
Tip: Snaptune makes no claim of being able to identify every song that is found. Only through the active
identification by our users will songs have a high degree of probability of being matched with their proper
identity.
Tip: If the currently selected item is a Show (only selectable from the Songs view), then the Edit Songs
page will have two extra buttons: save to file and send to iTunes. This enables you to listen to Shows
recorded by Snaptune outside of Snaptune One. Using iTunes requires that you have iTunes version 4.9 or
later installed on your computer.

Exporting Shows from Snaptune

Snaptune One does not allow you to export individual songs that it has found for use outside of Snaptune.
If you wish to do that, you need to either buy the CD or the song. Snaptune makes purchasing music a
simple point and click process.
You can, however, save Shows you've recorded in Snaptune One. Let's say you've recorded the John
In The Morning Show each weekday from 6AM to 10AM. There are two ways you can export that
show to other applications.
Save To File
Send to iTunes
To export a Show, from the Songs view select the Show you wish to export.
Then click on the Edit Song tab on the right side of the application. At the bottom of that view you will
see save to file and send to iTunes buttons. Select the appropriate button.
Note: You must have selected the check box next to This recording is a show when you created the
recording schedule.

Controlling Snaptune from the task tray

Snaptune includes a Windows Task Tray icon that provides you with easy access to launch the main
Snaptune application and also provides an indication of what Snaptune is doing. The tray icon will notify
you when Snaptune finds new music, or when you run out of disk space.
