f. The Hot Surface Ignitor will turn on and after approximately four (4) seconds the Hot
Surface Ignitor will shut off. The Gas Valve will be energized and a burner flame should
be evident for approximately seven (7) seconds and then shut off.
g. The HSI Module will attempt two (2) additional ignition trials after which the HSI
Module will LOCKOUT and the "red" indicator light will flash 3 blinks, wait one (1)
second, and then keep flashing 3 blinks continuously until the HSI Module is reset
manually.
h. Functional check of the HSI (Hot Surface Ignition) Module is complete.
