Photo-electronic
smoke detector
Type 22
Art.-no.: FL10022 H
This smoke detector is designed as an economical system providing early
warning in the event of a fire. The alarm is activated as soon as smoke
penetrates the interior of the device. The device does not detect flames. The
majority of fires happen at night and as we are unable to smell anything
while we are asleep, but will wake up if we hear a noise, smoke detectors
protect us effectively and give an early warning of the imminent danger.
Areas of use:
Flats, houses, caravans, boats
Alarm signal:
Acoustic signal, approx. 85 dB / 3 m
For further information on what to do in the event of a fire, please contact
your fire brigade. A large number of fire brigades and fire insurance
companies have leaflets that will point out the necessity of having smoke
detectors installed.

Installation sites

To ensure that your home is fully protected, smoke detectors should be
installed in all rooms, corridors, storage areas, the cellar and larder. A
minimum level of protection is granted if a smoke detector is installed in the
hallway and near the staircase on each floor and one in each bedroom.
In buildings divided into flats each family should install its own smoke
detectors.
Do not install in the bathroom or garage and only install in the kitchen if there
can be a minimum distance of 4 m from the stove and similar emission
sources.
Do not install in areas where there is a strong draft, near ventilation shafts, as
the air circulation could prevent the smoke from reaching the detector. For
best results, install in the centre of the ceiling.
Do not install in very dusty areas or in areas with very high humidity.

If the ceiling slopes over 30° and has a
total height of up to 6 m, a distance
of 30 - 50 cm from the tip is to be
observed. If the slope is up to
45° the detector can be
