C: LAUNCHING THE CONNECTION MANAGER FOR POCKETPC
Once the Bluetooth Connection Manager is installed you need to launch
the application to begin communicating wirelessly. Follow these steps to
launch the Bluetooth Connection Manager:
1. The Connection Manager is launched from the Pocket PC Start Menu.
Select Connection Manager from the Start Menu.
2. The first time the Connection Manager is launched it will discover the
other discoverable Bluetooth devices that are within range.
Connection Manager Main Window
The icons at the top of the Connection Manager main window feature
several basic Bluetooth communication options.
Discover Bluetooth devices--Tap this icon to discover all of the
Bluetooth devices that are in range.
Send a Business Card--Select a device from the list of Bluetooth
devices, then tap this icon to send your business card to that
Bluetooth device. The Edit Business Card dialog appears under
the Connection Manager Options icon.
Send a File--Select a device from the list of Bluetooth devices
then tap this icon to send a file to that Bluetooth device.
Connection Manager Options--Tap this icon to enter a friendly
name; edit a business card; or forget paired devices.
Make Undiscoverable--Tap this icon to make your device
undiscoverable by other Bluetooth devices.
ActiveSync--Select a device from the list of Bluetooth devices,
then tap this icon to synchronize your PDA with that device.
About 3Com Bluetooth--Shows
the software version number,
the unique Bluetooth address
used to identify the device, and
defines the icons that appear in
the Connection Manager.
