Cabling 16-A PDUs
16-A PDUs can be used as power extensions from a UPS or from the main AC source. The "locking" style of
the inlet plug ensures a secure, grounded electrical connection. The 16-A PDU has 13 standard IEC 60320 -
C13 outlets that allow deployment of high-wattage rack components (see Figure 1-11).

The 16-A hybrid PDUs can be used as power extensions from a UPS or from the main AC source. The
"locking" style of the inlet ensures a secure, grounded electrical connection. 16A hybrid PDUs have seven
standard IEC 60320 - C13 outlets and two IEC 60320 - C19 outlets that allow deployment of high-wattage
rack components (see Figure 1-12).
