    1.3 Technical Measuring Information The Transducer (measuring platform/Dynamometer) has to be positioned on a solid base, without allowing any movement. At that time, the transducer should be free of external forces or vibrations (such as the dis- tortion of the measuring platform resulting from incorrect installation). After each start-signal, the charge amplifier will reset and perform a zero calibration.

    The machine capability test is a short-term test, which sole goal it is to recognize machine influences on the production process. NOTICE During sampling, no adjustments or errors may occur. For this type of test, DEPRAG uses the Gaussian distribution curve.

    1.4.1 Machine Capability Study (Cmk) Cmk is defined as the minimum of: − UpperLimit Average − Average LowerLimit This index informs about the settling, as well as the expanded scale of the torque values. The C - value shown below is 1.33 for a Screwdriver (this corresponds to a calculation of the C limit values of 4 Sigma (s)).

    1.5.2 Function of Piezo Measuring Transducer The measuring transducers (MP25 / MP200 / MS25 / MS10) have piezo-quartz measuring cells integrated. Because of the preloading of the cell during manufacturing, the emitting electrical load (Coulomb) is determined. Since different cell sizes are available, the emit- ting electrical loads of the transducers are different.

    • Connect power cable to charger. • Place measuring instrument ME5000 into charger, so that the batteries in the measur- ing instrument may be charged. • Once the green LED „Ready“ appears on the charger, the batteries are fully charged.

    Operation All parameters will remain in the Flash-ROM storage of the measuring instrument, when the unit shuts-off (battery-pack empty) or when the unit goes into standby-mode. There- fore, it is not necessary to re-input data every time the instrument is turned on. If changes are necessary, please use the instructions as indicated in paragraph Input Parameter.

    Use the charger unit for the built-in battery-pack/rechargeable batteries only; NEVER with standard batteries! Once the battery-pack looses charge, the measuring instrument ME5000 automatically shuts-off, so that incorrect measuring results are avoided. Battery-Pack-Charger (ACS 110 traveller) Red LED „Power“: Continued light signals that the charger is operational. This light illu- minates as soon as the charger is connected to main supply.
