To close a program that has stopped responding:
1 Press

The Windows
the Close Program dialog box. This box lists all the programs
and processes currently in operation. If a program has stopped
responding, the words "not responding" appear beside its
name on the list.
2 Select the program you want to close, the click End Task.
Closing the failed program should allow you to continue
working. If it does not, continue with step 3.
3 Close the remaining programs one by one by selecting the
program name, then End Task.
4 Click Shut Down.
The Shut Down Windows dialog box appears.
5 Select Restart, then click Yes .
Your computer shuts down and restarts the Windows
Edition operating system.
CAUTION: Typing
restart your computer is not recommended. By closing all
open programs prior to shutting down the Windows
Second Edition operating system you ensure that all data is
saved.
