The USB cable provides the device with power and bidirectional communication with a USB-capable

host. It terminates with a standard USB Type A plug compatible with the vast majority of USB hosts and

hubs. The cable provides the only ground for the device; none of the device's exposed mechanical

features, such as the mounting screw holes, are connected to the device's electrical components.

Programmers should see section 7 Developing Custom Software for cross-references to programming

tools and documentation for communicating through the port.
